About Me

Hello! My name is Melissa Rafferty and I am a high school science teacher. I am going into my seventh year at North Kingstown High School, teaching mostly 9th grade Earth and Physical Science as well as two elective junior/senior classes, Pharmacology and Sport Science. I am New Hampshire born and raised, so during most weekends you can find me hiking the White Mountains with my husband and dog.  I'm also an avid runner, gardener, and reader, and I'm always looking for good book recommendations :)

  1. HI Melissa! I am very excited to be joining you at NKHS. I have mostly 9th graders, too. We will have to catch up at school soon. Have a great 3 day weekend and see you Tuesday!

  2. I love the White Mountains, one of my most favorite places to be! I just spent the last weekend before the semester began with my children, partner, and parents near Woodstock, my family has been vacationing there for three generations!

  3. Great picture of the beautiful mountains. What's your pace and mileage? Maybe we can go for runs Wednesdays after class!

  4. New Hampshire is one of my favorite states! I camp in North Conway every summer, and it's always a blast. What's your favorite hiking spot?
